An ecological, cultural and technological initiative by Bittrees and Cryptoalegre

Overview

Horta do Baldio is a multidisciplinary project located on a historic property in Alentejo, Portugal, belonging to Bittrees and operated through a long-term lease by Cryptoalegre.

Initially acquired as part of Bittrees' exploitation on the tokenization of olive-based products, the project evolved into a living model of cultural preservation, sustainable agriculture and decentralized technology.

Land and Ecology

The property has about a hundred adult olive trees, a natural stream, an aqueduct, a cistern and traditional stone structures, including a partially renovated residence that currently hosts a tenant / caretaker.

The earth functions simultaneously as a productive agricultural space and cultural ecosystem, where nature, technology and creativity coexist.

Olive groves continue to be the central element of the project's agricultural identity, while new activities, such as local honey production, reflect a broader commitment to biodiversity and regenerative practices.

Cultural and Educational Mission

Cryptoalegre will host cultural residences, workshops and educational programs that combine artistic expression and decentralized innovation.

Artists and residents collaborate in the exploration of new forms of linking technology and heritage, creating works and initiatives that honor the earth and involve global digital communities.

Technological and Tokenization Structure

In partnership with Bittrees, the project is developing a tokenized structure to identify and distribute rights, values and contributions associated with the property.

Tokens will represent tangible and intangible assets, such as olive trees, cultural activities and creative productions, in order to allow transparent management, equitable participation and creation of circular value.

Although research on renewable energy generation and Bitcoin/data mining is ongoing, the main technological focus of the project is the sustainable and ethical integration of decentralized systems in local economies.

Vision

Horta do Baldio incorporates Bittrees' mission to empower communities through technology and sustainability, and Cryptoalegre's commitment to cultural awareness, education and artistic development.

Together, they seek to build a self-sustaining model where land, art and blockchain intersect, uniting traditional practices and future-oriented innovation, in harmony with nature.
